This year’s Connect the Waterfront Annual Fundraising Party features an open bar, live music and hors d’oeuvres. It will be held on Thursday, November 10, from 7 – 9 PM at the Antique Loft, 33 Newark Street, Hoboken.
This year’s theme, The Greening of Sinatra Drive, reflects FBW’s concerted effort to ensure a generous row of street trees is included in the City’s Sinatra Drive Project. This will be a big step forward, tying together the parks at the South Waterfront to Maxwell Place Park and eventually to a new park at Union Dry Dock. Your support is vital to finishing these critical elements of Hoboken’s waterfront park, first proposed by FBW in 1990 with its Plan for the Hoboken Waterfront.
Enjoy the company of others at this festive event to be held for the second year in a row at Antique Loft. Antique Loft will again be catering with its superb food and drink. Local singer song-writer James Calleo will entertain. And don’t miss out on your chance to win an array of raffle items donated by local merchants.
Fund for a Better Waterfront (FBW) was founded on the belief that the waterfront belongs to the people. For the last thirty years, we have been dedicated to our vision of a contiguous public park along the Hudson River. We have achieved a large portion of that goal in Hoboken and are dedicated to its completion through a process of planning, advocacy and partnerships. We believe that Hoboken can be a beacon of smart urban design and inspiration for waterfront renewal worldwide.
