Jennifer and Brian Marsh

Two years ago, Jennifer Marsh joined FBW’s Board of Directors lending her expertise in architecture and landscape design. She and her husband Brian Marsh, also an architect, moved to Hoboken in the late 1990s. Twenty years ago, they bought their home on Bloomfield Street where they raised their two children and originally also operated their architecture practice. Their practice is now located in the Monroe Center. After working as a project architect, primarily on school buildings at Davis Brody Bond, Jennifer established Mowery Marsh Architects in 2004. She was  joined by her husband in 2013, who previously worked with Dennis Wedlick Architect on the first Certified Passive House in NY state. They have worked on a number of notable residential renovations in Hoboken and Jersey City as well as new homes and renovations throughout New Jersey as well as New York, Pennsylvania, Washington, Wisconsin, Illinois, Massachusetts, Vermont, Rhode Island, Delaware, and New Hampshire. They are committed to sustainable architectural design, as they apply Passive House standards to all their projects. They are recognized for their ability to seamlessly integrate architecture, interiors and landscape. Their projects have been featured in a number of architecture magazines including Dwell, Residential Design, House Beautiful, and Remodelista as well as receiving several AIA NJ & NYS Design Awards.  By keeping their firm small — it’s just the two of them, sometimes joined by their daughter who is in architecture school at Syracuse University — they can  work closely with their clients. It has also given Jennifer the opportunity to be present as she and Brian raised their children and stay well connected within the community through organizations such as the Hoboken Girl Scout troop she started, the Cantigas Women’s Choir she has sung with for 22 years, and as a member of St, Matthews Trinity Lutheran Church, Stevens Rec Pool, High Tech HS Advisory Board, and Architects League of Northern NJ.
