➢ SECURE the final portion of Hoboken’s waterfront park, to connect Sinatra Park to Castle Point Park. Stevens Institute currently maintains a surface parking lot along this section. We will encourage the City to adopt its own proposed Waterfront Open Space zoning district.
➢ ADVOCATE for our Plan for Lower Hudson Street, that provides a comprehensive alternative to the City’s proposal for Garage B (which included a 24-story tower).
➢ MONITOR the current projects underway at Union Dry Dock (Maritime Park Phase 1), the Sinatra Drive Redesign (from 4th to 11th Streets) and the Rebuild by Design Park at the Weehawken Cove. We will promote passive green space and cost-effective design.

FBW’s 1990 Plan for the Hoboken Waterfront.
➢ ADVOCATE for the promised boathouse and boat launch at the Weehawken Cove. This will expand public access to the water via kayaks and paddleboards.
➢ MONITOR NY Waterway’s lease at Union Dry Dock and construction of their new Weehawken facility, to ensure the ferry company leaves promptly at the end of their lease in December 2028.
➢ ADVOCATE for the completion of a landscaped waterfront walkway at the Monarch Pier site and a plan to address the dilapidated pier.
➢ PROMOTE environmental stewardship of the Hudson River through public events at the waterfront and partnerships with local and regional organizations.
➢ ENGAGE and foster a relationship with Hoboken’s Mayor, City Council, and other elected officials regarding all of the above.
