Setting the Standard for 25 Years

Twenty-five years ago, before any development had taken place at Hoboken’s riverfront, a plan for the Hoboken waterfront was created under the direction of FBW. The centerpiece of this plan – a continuous, public park at the water’s edge – became the driving force that established the park at Hoboken’s South Waterfront (from Newark to Fourth Street) that has received both state and national awards.

FBW is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to secure land along the Hudson River for the public’s use for generations to come. We have been strong advocates for sound planning and urban design that makes for a model waterfront.

Our work in Hoboken is far from finished as we continue to push to extend the remarkable features of the South Waterfront north of Fourth Street up through Maxwell Place Park.

Your sponsorship will enable FBW to continue our mission to create up to 7 acres of additional parkland in your community. Help us complete our plan for a continuous waterfront park and create a national prototype for waterfront planning communities will seek to emulate.
