Hoboken Waterfront Tour
Saturday, July 18 at 10 a.m.
Pier A Park by the fountain
First Street & Sinatra Drive
Hoboken, NJ

FBW Executive Director Ron Hine will lead a tour of Hoboken’s Waterfront, describing the history of how the voters of Hoboken defeated a City proposal to build a 33-story office tower on Pier A and 500,000 square feet of housing on Pier C. FBW’s advocacy work then led to those piers becoming an award-winning waterfront park. Other successes will be pointed out along with the work required to complete FBW’s proposed continuous, public waterfront park.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Maxwell Place Park on 11th & Sinatra Drive North, there will be kayaking, boat tours, live music, food vendors, educational activities and much, much more. MWA’s City of Water Day Festival is a free, day-long celebration of the world-class potential of the water that surrounds us and brings us together. Held on Governors Island and Maxwell Park in Hoboken, NJ–the event draws thousands of people from throughout the NY-NJ metropolitan region to participate in hundreds of unique, fun and educational waterfront activities organized by MWA and its 700 Alliance Partners.

RSVP to fbw@betterwaterfront.org by Friday, July 17th.
